Motherhood has been a beautiful, yet challenging journey…

Becoming a mother was something I always desired.  What I did not anticipate were the hard seasons I would face.  How alone, overwhelmed and scared they would leave me . Some of these difficult seasons include:

  • Feeling burnout as a mom
  • Strong emotional behavior in child/teen
  • Moving and starting over, several times
  • Not having extended family live nearby
  • Husband that travels/ solo parenting
  • Homeschooling
  • Autism diagnosis in toddler
  • Navigating Autism w/ young adult
  • Teenage years
  • Infant/toddler with health issues
  • Anxiety in child/teen

During these hard seasons, it would have been helpful to have a kindred spirit who offered me support and hope.  What I have learned in my 20 years as a mother is, you don’t have to face these seasons alone.

Support, empathy and someone listening deeply to the struggles you are facing can make all the difference in helping you shift your mindset.

Learning tools and strategies for connection, collaboration, curiosity and unconditional love that empowers families and can

help you embrace your important job as a mother.

There is always STILL ROOM TO GROW!

No matter what your relationship with your child(ren) looks like right now, there is hope, there is healing. Depending on where things are at, it can be hard to believe there is truly another way. But I promise you there is, I have personally experienced a radical relationship transformation with one of my kids, I believe it can be possible for your family too

None of us start off as parents knowing what to do. We create plans, try to be the people we want to be and watch as our idealistic imaginings get run over by the reality of daily life and the immense pressures of caring for our kids. Let me support you and offer you hope and healing during this season.

Hello! I'm Kate Lasley

I am 45, have 3 kids (20, 18 & 14) and have been married 22 years.

In 2015 I was a scared, lonely, exhausted mama! I had a child struggling with "big emotions" and was easily frustrated . Authoritarian parenting was leaving us both feeling disconnected and miserable.

I started reading books by psychologists Ross Greene and Daniel Siegel and my perception in parenting started to shift.

I ended up drastically changing the way I parented.

I started focusing on relationships over punishment

I stopped listening to what the outside world said my child should be doing and started getting to know their heart and feelings.

I put my desires and emotions on the back burner and focused on theirs.

Instead of yelling, I focused on connection.

Instead of punishing, I focused on conversations to understand why choices were made .

Instead of being an authoritarian, we collaborated.

Instead of reacting harshly to big emotions I modeled calm and compassionate behavior .

When mistakes were made, I modeled repair and apologized.

And what happened slowly but surely, over the next several years has been BEAUTIFUL!

Trust was earned!

Connections were made!

Unconditional love was modeled!

Relationships were repaired & strengthened!

In 2023 I found the Jai Institute for Parenting .  Looking at the curriculum, so many of the same ideas/tools they teach, I used in parenting my kids. I immediately knew becoming a certified parent coach was my calling.

My deep desire is to help the mom I was all those years ago!

The traditional ‘POWER-OVER’ model of parenting isn’t working

This “fear” based, authoritarian model makes you feel like you’re going to spend the rest of your life struggling with your children.

Do you often lay awake at night  feeling like you’re just not doing a good job as a parent? Are you worried for the future of your child, if things don't change? I know I have felt both these things.

I believe that the real issue is that we’re not taught how to be the kind of parent most of us long to be AND our children need, so we end up slipping into the patterns that were ingrained in us in our own childhoods and through society.

I understand how hard it is to ask for help!  I have felt desperation, overwhelm and at whit’s end as a mother.  I want you to know there is a better way, there is hope for your family.

Which is why when you contact me, you will be met with understanding, a non-judgmental openness and a supportive, personalized, effective plan that I will personally guide you through every step of the way.

What clients are saying:

"I always feel so much lighter after a session with Kate.  She is not only incredibly knowledgeable, but she has real life experience to back up what she teaches parents.  Her passion for parenting is contagious and she asks powerful questions, allowing the answers to come through ME.  I highly recommend her for any parent who feels called to deepen their relationship with their child, and most importantly, themselves."

-Savanna M

"I was able to study under Kate for 12 weeks.  She made me feel safe, heard and understood.  Most importantly she made me see value in MYSELF as a parent.

She sheds light on so many aspects of parenting that we often keep in the dark.

By the end of 12 weeks, I had a notebook FILLED  with notes, highlighted pieces of information and so much take away.

I constantly find myself referring back to my book for information or reassurance that what I am doing it right.

This program was so incredibly helpful.

I finished the 12 weeks feeling:

Inspired to keep and open mind as a parent.

Confident in my ability to evolve as a parent.

Relief that I’m NEVER alone in my struggles as a parent.

Tools to help me continue to GROW as a parent.

We grow with our children!"

- Carah M.

"I have always admired Kate’s dedication and commitment to helping her children thrive in all areas of life.  I love how relatable and real she is in sharing her parenting struggles.  Kate has been a great listener and resource for me along my parenting journey.”

- Kerry B

"Kate has been a great coach and friend to me.  She has a passion for helping other parents SHOW UP and her insight along with her compassion for others is something this world needs more of."

-Gina G

Kate has been my family, my mom, my best friend.  I have no words to express my gratitude for her!  She has been by my side, helping support my mental health & my 2 babies.  I can't  imagine how hard it would be without her.  She is absolutely the best motherhood mentor.  She is a like sunshine and spreads love and light.

How It Works:

When you book a call with me, we’ll sit down together and talk so I can get a sense of what’s going on for you and your family and where I can offer support.

I’ll explain my approach and the options we have for working together. You can ask any questions you have and see what type of support would be the best fit for your life and schedule.

If it feels right to you, we can book our first session and get started.  If it’s not a good fit, I will do my best to offer alternative resources or suggestions for support, wherever possible. There’s no pressure of any kind, simply an opportunity to see if we are a good fit to work together.
